Hon. Seama Sheriff

Madam Danlette Norris, Our distinguish guest speaker, Pastor Claudius Cooper of Faith Ministries Church of Rhode Island, Brother Abraham Kromah, Board Chairman Felmusa Representative from Limany, of New York. Members and officers of all local organization present here tonight, Elder, members, and officers of Quardu Gboni association well wishers, ladies and gentleman.

As we celebrate our 2nd anniversary, we must give praises to the almighty Allah. The year in review was marked by progress, set backs and losses of our loved ones here in the U.S. but the almighty was able to consoled and keep us on track.

Achievement: before coming to leadership, our association was unregistered, and funds collected during those periods were placed in personal accounts but with the continued efforts of this leadership we are proud to announce tonight that our association is register with the federal government with an article of incorporation and the city of Philadelphia.

We also proceeded to open our first bank account with Bank of America. Our members can now feel free to send their dues and other payment to our Quardu Gboni account. As I am informed by our financial secretary and treasurer after our installation program we had total revenue of US $6,039.00. But of this amount we were able to register this association, participated in the gowning of the president of our country during her visit to our district, paid up our internet account for three years, sponsored the Barkeidu memorial in Philadelphia, and also sponsored this year convention.

In view of all of the above our union and the state of affair of Quardu Gboni association is stronger than ever before. Our focus this year is to pursuit our 501C3-Status, Caters to our blooming student population thriving in the district that has never been experienced before.

A record breaking enrollment reaching a total of 5,285 students of those 2,515 are females and 2,770 are males with only 99 teachers. Out of which government pays only five and the other 94 are our brothers and sisters that have graduated from high school and return to the district to volunteer their services. Our friends here tonight, well wishes the people of Quardu Gboni District are appealing for our full support in educating our younger ones.

To conclude tonight, my special thanks go out to our convention committee headed by Honorable; Symbu Kamara, N’Tow; Honorable Geemen Kamara, Varmah Dorleh, and all those that assisted in making this day a success and also extend my appreciation to all that left their busy schedule to be with us tonight hope to see all of you again in Minnesota next year.

I thank you all

Seama Sheriff
